Welcome to The Seattle Traveler

Hello!

My name is Mary Jo, and I am very pleased to welcome you here to The Seattle Traveler, the place to learn all about Seattle. . . and lots more.

The greater Seattle Metro area keeps expanding, as the population base moves out and away from the city.  While I’ll primarily be focusing on events and things to do in Seattle, Tacoma, and our nearby cities to the north and south, you can also expect to see occasional ideas for venturing a little farther out.

Whether you’re visiting the Seattle area for your first time, or one-hundredth time, there’s always something new to see or do.  Whether you’ve got a short lunchtime break, or a long weekend, there’s always time to see something. Whether you’re a night person, or a morning person, there’s something that you can do at nearly any hour of the day. Whether you’re traveling alone, with friends, on a business trip, with your family, or on a romantic getaway, there’s sure to be something of interest.

And if you’re a Seattle area resident, hopefully you’ll get some new ideas for exploring your own hometown.

I’ll share with you some of my favorites places, things, and events.  Things that are fun, educational, interesting, exciting, and even a little quirky.

I hope you’ll leave comments telling me what you’ve enjoyed, and what you didn’t.  Let me know when you think my recommendation is right on, and when I’ve missed the mark.   Leave me suggestions of your own, and tell me about the things that I’ve missed.

Together, day-by-day, we’ll explore all that this corner of the world has to offer.

Again, welcome to The Seattle Traveler!

Welcome with Seattle Traveler, Mary Jo. I’ve traveled in the Portland/Seattle area and have relatives there. (I live in NH.) So it will be fun to see what interesting places you have to tell us about.

    Thanks for reading Mary Emma.

I hope you’ll take time to comment on some of your favorite places in this area as well. And — if you’re traveling to visit family, you’ll have to get in touch!

This is great! I love Seattle and want to go back there again. Before I came there last May I was searching the web for blogs on Seattle but unfortunately I could not find one. At last there’s theseattletraveler.
