“Fire Season” at Bluebottle Art thru January 30th

Paul Chatem As cold as it’s been in Seattle lately, here’s a chance to warm up at “Fire Season” by Paul Chatem, now on exhibit through the end of January at Bluebottle Art Galley.

Chatem combines painting with his story telling ability, interweaving multiple characters and story lines, with the occasional plot twist, into a series of paintings.  In “Fire Season,” Chatem depicts the dangerous and destructive forest fires of his Southern California home.  He actually painted this series while the fire ravaged outside his home.  You can see other work by Chatem here.

Bluebottle Art Gallery is owned and operated by Andrea and Matthew Porter.  Exhibits change monthly, feature local as well as national artists, and are selected with an eye toward presenting affordable artwork for people who are just being to collect.

Location:  415 East Pine, Seattle (Capital Hill)

Hours:  Tuesday through Sunday, 12 noon – 7 pm. Artist receptions are held the first Saturday of each month, from 6 – 8 pm.
