Photo Op: Floating Bridges Across Lake Washington

Details:  There are several ways to get from Seattle to Bellevue and the East Side (of Lake Washington).
You can drive around Lake Washington to the north through Bothell.  You can drive around to the south through Renton.  Or, you can take on the floating bridges (I-90 or 520) and drive directly across.

Get Stopped at the Police Museum

But, really officer —
You don’t need any kind of excuse to stop in at the Seattle Metropolitan Police Museum where you can discovery the history of law enforcement in the Pacific Northwest.  While most people have never heard of the museum (including life long residents), it is actually the largest police museum in the western [...]

Goodnight Moon at Seattle Children’s Theater

If your Seattle travel plans have you with kids in tow, don’t forget Goodnight Moon

The cast consists of four actors and assorted [...]

Snow in Seattle: Is this a Memorable Travel Moment?

It’s been snowing here in Seattle.
I feel sorry for all the visitors to Seattle over the last month or so, as they’ve gotten a pretty ugly taste of Seattle weather — two snowstorms and a windstorm.  Really, people, it’s not normally like this!  (Sorry Astroprof!)
My blogging friend, Georgie, over at Laughing Chow sent me some [...]

It’s a new template, with some minor design changes, and is part of a larger template update for all the b5media blogs.
Take a minute and try out some of the cool new options:  the new search bar, the interactive blog roll, etc.  I’m just getting [...]

Model Railroad Show at the Pacific Science Center, January 13-15th

Model Train aficionados can head to the Seattle Center this weekend for the Model Railroad Show at the Pacific Science Center.

I remember my dad and brother staging, and re-staging, a model train in our basement.  There were tracks, and trains, and bridges, and buildings, and switches, and all sorts of convoluted layouts.  It must have [...]

Yuck it up at the 2007 Comedy Video Festival

With all the rain and snow in Seattle lately, weather is no laughing matter.
So how can you get your jollies in the midst of all this?  Yuck it up at the Comedy Video Festival on Saturday night, January 13th, or the following Saturday, January 20th.
It’s more of an anti-film festival than you may be expecting, [...]
