Snow in Seattle: Is this a Memorable Travel Moment?

front-yard.JPGIt’s been snowing here in Seattle.

I feel sorry for all the visitors to Seattle over the last month or so, as they’ve gotten a pretty ugly taste of Seattle weather — two snowstorms and a windstorm.  Really, people, it’s not normally like this!  (Sorry Astroprof!)

My blogging friend, Georgie, over at Laughing Chow sent me some information that may be of interest to travelers to the Seattle area right now.

If you are a photographer, or maybe just aspire to be one, take a look at Conde Nast’s 20th anniversary photography contest.

All you have to do is take a photo capturing a memorable travel moment (like getting stuck in the snow in Seattle), and upload it to the contest site, along with an explanation of why the memory is special for you.  Read all the fine print details here.  The top prize is a $20,000 dream trip to “anywhere on Earth.”  Right now, that would be anywhere other than Seattle!

My photos would never make the cut (I’m just learning basic skills), but maybe yours will!
