A Whale of a Good Round up at the Carnival of Cities

Carnival of CitiesAnother week of Carnival of Cities, this week hosted by Sheila at Home Turf Media. There were lots of great posts this week, representing cities around the world, and it took me quite awhile to read them all. Head on over there yourself and see what I mean.

My contribution this week was about Brian Malarkey, formerly of The Oeanaire is Seattle, who is now competing in Season 3 of Top Chef. If you missed the post, you can read it here.

Choosing a favorite was tough, because, in large part because my favorite, at any given time, depends on what I’m doing at the time or the mood that I’m in. There’s lots of fun and interesting posts at the carnival, but I’ve made the commitment to choose a favorite every week, so. . . .

This week’s favorite is Puerto Piramides Offers More than Just Whales, written by Vanessa Latimer at Argentina’s Travel Guide. While going to Puerto Piramides for whale watching seems like a great idea, Vanessa explains all the other things to do in the area, whale season or not. From watching the sunrise on the beach to the wildlife conservation of the area, this Patagonia-heaven is blissfully free of nightclubs and bright lights. It sounds like a wonderful respite from the busy world.
