Colossal Fossils at the Pacific Science Center

Dinosaur Hang out with the big guys — the dinosaurs who walked the earth millions of years ago — at “Colossal Fossils” now showing at the Pacific Science Center through January 6th, 2008.

Though long gone, these creatures continue to fascinate us.  What did they look like?  What did they eat?  How did they spend their days?  Theories abound, a this collection of fossils, skeletons, eggs and artifacts will help explain those theories to you.

And. like most exhibits at the Pacific Science Center, the learning is also a lot of fun!

As part of the dinosaur theme, Dinosaurs Alive! 3D, is showing at the IMAX theater.  The huge IMAX screen will bring these creatures to life through the creativity of computer-generated animation.  Run time is 40 minutes.  Tickets for the IMAX theater run $6-8, and you can find a full listing of show times here.

Location:  Seattle Center Campus, under the arches near the Space Needle.

Dates & Hours:  Daily, 10 am – 6 pm (summer hours)

Tickets:  General admission for the sciences center is $11 for adults, $9.50 for seniors (65+), $8 juniors (ages 6-12), $6 kids (ages 3-5), under 3 are free.  IMAX admission is extra.
