Seattle’s Fishermen’s Terminal
Fishermen’s Terminal is the primary home of the North Pacific Fishing Fleet, featuring moorage and services for fishing and work boats of all sizes. Guest moorage may also be available.
If you want the freshest fish around, this is the place to go. You can buy it straight off the boat, and very reasonable prices. Of course, if you don’t want to cook for yourself, you can always visit one of the nearby restaurants, which range from casual fish & chips joints, to sushi, to fine dining. If you’re a resident, or perhaps an out of town guest visiting a resident, I’d recommend picking up whatever is fresh, grabbing a couple bottles of wine, and barbecuing at home.
Fishermen’s Terminal is also home to the Fishermen’s Memorial, a bronze and stone sculpture commemorating those who have lost their lives while fishing. The names of more than 500 local commercial fishermen and women who have been lost at sea are inscribed on plaques at the memorial. Each year, on the first Sunday in May, a special service is held honoring all those who have lost their lives pursuing their livelihood at sea. Sadly, a few names are added to the memorial each year.
The Port of Seattle is offering a free lunch time tour of Fishermen’s Terminal on Thursday, July 19th. Get more information about this tour, and several other Port of Seattle Tours, here.
And put this future date on your calendar — Saturday, September 22nd, 11 am – Dusk, is the Fishermen’s Fall Festival. It’s a family event, with vessel tours and rides, music, a beer garden, and activities for all ages.

Hours: Daily, 24/7
This is a real, working fishing terminal, so wear appropriate clothing and shoes to get around on the docks. Fish guts and water make for a very slippery environment.
