Artistic Animal Attraction
Eleanor Grosch was a child who liked animals. She found them fascinating, and drew them every chance that she got. It was a precursor to what would become a career working with animals.
No, she didn’t become a veterinarian or a zookeeper, she combined her love of animals with her love of art and formed Pushmepullyou Design, named after the two-headed llama from Dr. Doolittle.
Today, she is recognized for her simple, geometrically rendered animal art. In fact, you may have seen her adorable critters on Ked’s shoes or pillows found at Urban Outfitters.
August provides an opportunity to see an extensive collection of Grosch’s work at “Menagerie” a showing of her silkscreen prints at Bluebottle Art Gallery. Unframed screen prints in this collection start at $30, so you can afford to pick up something that you fall in love with!
