Bling! Bling! Bling!

If Bling is your thing, you’ll want to browse. . . dare I say shop. . . at the International Gem & Jewelry Show.

string of pearls This large exhibit of gems, minerals, and jewelry is a popular Seattle staple, just weeks before a classic jewelry giving holiday.  You’ll find everything from the traditional diamonds and pearls, to antique and estate pieces, and make-your-own findings and supplies.

There are two sections, one open to the public and the other for members of the trade.  Both section provide prices that are well below typical retail.

Although I’ll miss the show this year, I’ve made a number of purchases over the years.  Two recommendations to making the show a good experience:  If you’re making purchases, do your research before the show.  Go as an informed buyer.  Set a budget.  Stick with it.
