Photo Op: The Science Fiction Museum

Science Fiction Museum in Seattle

Details:  The Science Fiction Museum (325 Fifth Avenue North) on the Seattle Center Campus shares a building with the Experience Music Project (EMP).  The unusual building was designed by Frank O. Gehry.  The monorail, connecting the Seattle Center with the downtown area, runs through the middle of the building.

Being a big scifi buff, I absolutely had to go to the Science Fiction Museum while I was in Seattle. Unfortunately, you can’t take photos while inside the place, and they make you check your cameras so you can’t even take them inside. But, it is well worth the cost of admission for any science fiction fan.

They didn’t make me check my camera, but then again, it’s small enough that it was in my purse and they may not have realized that I had it.

I enjoyed the time I spent at the Museum – and loved looking at all the stuff!

I like the idea of the monorail going through it. Reminds me of the one at the World Trade Fair in NY (1964/5?) which always sums up sci-fi to me.
