A Chilly Exhibit at Photographic Center Northwest
The Photographic Center Northwest offers photography courses and workshops, as well as providing a gallery of photographic work.
The curriculum focuses on fine art photography, with courses ranging from day and evening workshops to a one year comprehensive program. Students include novices as well as those working professionally in the photography business.
Currently on exhibit is Snowbound & The Last Iceberg, featuring photographs by Lisa M. Robinson and Camille Seaman. Ms Robinson’s(see photo at right) focus in on showcasing the winter landscape in ways that we may not typically think about, while Ms Seaman’s work (see photo above) focuses on icebergs from her travels in Antarctica and the Arctic.
Location: 900 12th Avenue, Capital Hill (map it)
Dates: Current exhibit runs January 19th – February 27th.
Hours: Gallery hours are Tuesday – Friday 9 am – 9:30 pm, Saturday 9 am – 5 pm, Monday & Sunday noon – 9:30 pm.
Parking: There is a parking lot behind the building.
After viewing these chilly works, you’ll might want to warm up at nearby Lark restaurant (926 12th Avenue).
A glass of wine and a cheese plate is a great way to round out the afternoon or evening. My recommendation would be the Three Cheese sampler with Rogue River Blue, Fiscalini Reserve Cheddar, and Bittersweet Evangeline, along with some of their handmade crackers.
