Carnival of Cities & Trieste, Italy
This week’s Carnival of Cities was hosted by Sheila at Family Travel, and it features an eclectic assortments of posts from around the world.
My favorite this week was Trieste – Italian home of cafe society posted by Karen at Europe a la Carte Blog. And not just because I’ll be in Italy next month!
While Trieste is not on my travel itinerary while I’m in Europe (it’s in the northeast near Slovenia and I’ll be in Rome and then the southwest), the city sounds like a wonderful place to visit on a return trip. It’s got culture, society, history, city and beach, all in one location. What more could you want?
In invite you to check out the Carnival of Cities, and the writing of all the wonderful travel bloggers.

Thanks for highlighting my post, Mary Jo. Yes you do have to make a conscious effort to visit Trieste. I hope you have a great time in Italy. Rome is a most wonderful city. I’ll be back in Italy in Tuscany and Umbria in May and can’t wait.
Thanks, Karen, I know the visit will be wonderful — I’m dividing my time between Tuscany for a week, some time on the Amalfi Coast, and a few days in Rome as well. Have lots of ideas for future visits thanks to you!
