Don Hewitt to Receive Edward R. Murrow Award Life-Time Achievement

Even the most die-hard Seattle-ite may want to travel east of the mountains for this one –

Washington State University’s annual Edward R. Murrow Symposium will honor Don Hewitt with the 2008 Edward R. Murrow Award-Lifetime Achievement in Broadcast Journalism.  Hewitt is the creator of 60 Minutes and a CBS News executive, and was the producer of the first presidential debate in 1960 between Richard Nixon and John F. Kennedy.

Parking:  Personal vehicles must have campus parking permits, available for purchase at the WSU Visitor Center at the corner of Grand Avenue and Davis Way.
