Centerstage Theatre 2008-09 Season
Another local community theater announces its 2008-09 season — this time Federal Way’s Centerstage Theatre.
What’s in store? A four-performance season that includes:
Always…Patsy Cline (Based on a True Story) - September 26 – October 12, 2008. The show is based on a true story about Cline’s friendship with a fan who befriended the star in a Texas honky tonk in 1961.
Aladdin – An English Panto - November 28 – December 21, 2008. Traditional English Panto that includes girls who play guys. Guys who play girls. Topical jokes and ancient gags. Slapstick comedy and audiences belting out choruses of familiar songs.
Crucifer of Blood – A Sherlock Holmes Mystery – February 27 – March 15, 2009. An ingenious pastiche of Sherlock Holmes stories.
Carl Sagan’s CONTACT – May 8 – 31, 2009. A new musical based on the book and movie confronting the most profound questions that we face, and the incredible truths that we learn.
Location: Knutzen Family Theatre at Dumas Bay Centre, 3200 SW Dash Point Road, Federal Way (map it)
Dates & Times: Dates specified above. Friday & Saturday performances at 8 pm; Saturday & Sunday matinee performances at 2 pm.
Tickets: $8–25, based on age, for individual performances. Season tickets, $80 for adults. Military and group discounts available.
Parking: Free onsite parking.
Centerstage was founded in 1977 as a "stepping-stone" theatre for serious artists, accomplished actors, directors, writers and designers who come from every corner of the U. S. to hone their craft.
