Be a Kid at Seattle Waterfront Arcade

by Mary Jo on February 22nd, 2008

Seattle Waterfront Arcade Sometimes kids just gotta be kids.  And if they’ve been pretty good sports about all the cultural and educational sights, chances are all of you can use a bit of break to blow off some steam.

Let them do it at the Seattle Waterfront Arcade on Pier 57.

With 16 video games, 17 ticket games, and five of those silly cranes that dig for prizes, there’s plenty to keep the kids occupied for awhile without stressing parents out about violent video games.  There are some video games that seek and destroy aliens, but these are more family friendly (no sex, less violent) than many you’ll find.  The arcade is best suited for younger kids, as older teens will soon be bored by the G-rated activities, and the minimal high-energy, action packed games.

You can review the list of games available and determine if its age appropriate.

The arcade also has a photo booth sure to appeal to girls wanting a gift for their BFF (best friend forever), that engraves the photo onto a gold or silver pendant.  Put in on a key chain, cell phone, charm bracelet, or keep it close to your heart on a necklace.

Location:  1301 Alaskan Way, Pier 57 (map it)

Hours:  Sunday - Thursday, 11 am - 10 pm; Friday & Saturday, 11 am - 11 pm.

Seattle Waterfront Arcade also has a party room for birthdays and other events.
