Carnival of Cities Explores the World

Carnival of Cities I haven’t had much of a chance lately to post about the weekly Carnival of Cities, which showcase lots of great writing from destination bloggers around the world.  I’m back on track, though, and have thoroughly enjoyed catching up with all the writing that I’ve missed the past couple of weeks.

This week’s carnival is hosted by Shicho over at Doc’s Place.

It was hard for me to pick a favorite post this week, as has become my tradition to do.  I’m always a pushover for the posts about food — because eating is one of my favorite things to do!

Finally, I decided on a quirky post, Would you Buy this House from The Digerati Life.  Every city, Seattle included, has a special architectural tradition.  Whether it’s stately Victorian houses, brownstones, skyscrapers, or what have you, architecture can define a city.  Check out this post and tell me what you think this house, called the Flintstone House, has to say about the Bay Area.

I’m sure my pal Jennifer over at Offbeat Homes will get a chuckle out of this one.

My contribution to the Carnival was about celebrating the Pike Place Market’s 100th birthday.

Well, thanks for the link love. I would have said so sooner but something is seriously wrong with my links??? At all my blogs. I gotta contact support.

Now about that ‘house’ — that is indeed very weird. Every time I think I’ve seen the weirdest I see something new. I’m sorta surprised they went and painted it that god awful color. It would have been offbeat without the pink even. Can you imagine walking up to that each night? Not soothing at all but I enjoyed the article behind it. Good find :)

Hi Jennifer. I figured you’d get a kick out of this house.
