Dali Exhibit at D’Adamo/Woltz Gallery through December 20th
Seattle has a vibrant and eclectic art community, and there’s always an abundance of choices about what to go see. One of the most interesting exhibits right now is at the D’Adamo/Woltz Gallery.
Running through December 20th, the exhibit is a collection of Salvador Dali prints from the 1960’s. The images on display include “Icarus and “Le Judgement de Paris” from his Mythology Suite, and “Le Banquet” and “Nu” from his Don Juan Suite.
Salvador Dali (1904-1989) was a Catalan-Spanish artist who was one of the most important painters of the 10th century. He is best known for his surrealist work, identified by its bizarre, dreamlike images, and for his eccentric behavior, drawing attention to himself in unusual ways. His best know work is probably, “The Persistence of Memory” (1931). His body of work also includes film, sculpture, and photography.
Location: D’Adamo/Woltz Gallery is located in Pioneer Square at 307 Occidental South.
Hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 11 am-5 pm; Sunday, noon-5 pm, Mondays by appointment. The Dali exhibits runs through December 20th.
