Do You Have a Thirst for Speed?
Do you have a “Thirst for Speed?” If so, you’ll want to catch this month’s Science with a Twist, the Pacific Science Center’s monthly Happy Hour.
This month’s theme highlights the new Speed exhibit, offering all sorts of fun hand-on displays. You can try a ski simulator, build a miniature roller coaster, or race drag cars. And this is the only time that it’s okay to drink and drive! This month’s featured cocktail is cleverly called the Turbocharger.
The evening ends with a private screening of the IMAX film Super Speedway: Racing with the Andretti’s!
Location: Pacific Science Center, Seattle Center Campus, near the Space Needle. Look for the arches.
Date & Time: Thursday, June 19th, Happy Hour starts at 6 pm, IMAX film at 8 pm. Events are held monthly, on the third Thursday.
Cost: $20 includes one drink, admission to the science center, and the movie. ($17 for Pacific Science Center members.) Tickets may be purchased online, or in person at any ticket booth.
This is event is for those 21 years of age and older only. ID required.
