Earshot Jazz Festival

by Mary Jo on October 24th, 2006

2006 Earshot Jazz FestivalIt’s not too late to get tickets to the 2006 Earshot Jazz Festival.

It started October 19th, but there are still some great performances to see before it wraps up on November 5th.  More than 200 artists will perform in the three weeks of concerts, along with educational programs and related events.  Venues are around the Greater Seattle/Tacoma area.

Earshot Jazz is a nonprofit arts organization formed in 1984 in service to the growing community of jazz artists and audiences in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest.  The organization publishes a monthly news magazine, provides educational programs and special projects in jazz, and presents nearly 100 concerts annually, including this fall’s major jazz festival.

Now in its 18th year, the festival has an impressive line up of national and local jazz artists.

Tickets are on sale through Earshot Jazz and all TicketMaster locations.  Details for individual events, special ticketing arrangements, and details are available on the Festival-at-a-Glance schedule.  Discounts are available for Eashshot members, seniors, students, and patrons purchasing tickets to five separate events.

Earshot Jazz can be reached via its website or at (206) 547-6763.
