Hanky Panky with Tommy James & the Shondells at Emerald Queen Casino
This concert will take you back. Back to the late 1960’s when bubble gum and rock and roll battled for play on the radio. And back when Tommy James & the Shondells had two number one U.S. singles with “Hanky Panky” (1966) and “Crimson and Clover” (1968).
That’s 40 years ago! These guys have been around for 40 years? The band has been reconfigured over the years, but at the heart of it all, Tommy James has been making music for over 40 years.
One of the summer’s many retro-concerts at the Emerald Queen Casino (Tacoma), the venue is for the 21-and-over only crowd, and has a full bar available. Seating is one-level, on the floor. Special hotel/concert packages are available at the Emerald Queen Hotel.
Location: Emerald Queen Casino, 2024 East 29th Street (Exit #135) in Tacoma.
Date & Time: Saturday, August 4th, 8:30 pm
Tickets: $35 premier seating (first two rows), $30 VIP seating, $22.50 club seating, and $15 general admission. Available through Ticketmaster. The Emerald Queen Casino is a 21-and-over only venue.
Tommy James & the Shondells Greatest Hits was a gift given to me by my first boyfriend. (Yeah, I’m that old.) The music always puts a smile on my face, and brings back fond teenage memories.
