Hop a Ferry for the Winter Art Studio Tour

by Mary Jo on November 15th, 2007

Seattle to Bainbridge Island

Whether you’re shopping for a piece or original art, or browsing for holiday gifts, the Bainbridge Island Winter Art Studio Tour offers up lots of choices.

The tour covers nine locations (art studios and community halls), and over 60 artists representing a variety of media.  You’ll find paintings, glass work, furniture, ceramics, jewelry, photography, textile art, pottery, and lots more crying out for you to take it home with you.  Check the full listing of locations, artists, and print out a downloadable map here.

Bainbridge Island is a half hour ferry ride from Seattle’s Coleman dock (check out map above).  The trip makes a great bicycle ride during the warm weather, but I’d recommend a car this time of year.  You may even want to make a weekend of it, staying at one of the island’s bed and breakfasts.

Location:  Bainbridge Island

Date & Time:  Saturday & Sunday, November 30th - December 1st.

Cost:  FREE
