I Hear the Train a Comin’
One of the most popular winter family event is just around the corner, as the 34th Annual Model Railroad Show comes to the Pacific Science Center.
Exhibits will include modular and sectional layouts in many scales, from “Z” to “G,” along with layouts, displays and activities sure to capture the interest of train aficionados as well as those new to the subject. The layouts change every year, so even though you thought last year’s were the best you’ve even seen, you’ll have to return this year to see just what the show has in store.
Model railroading is a fun and wholesome family activity, and can be enjoyed on many levels. If it’s something that you’re interested in learning about this show is a good place to learn, as well as meet other families who gotten the bug. There are displays and events designed for all ages and all skill levels.
Location: Pacific Science Center, Seattle Center Campus, corner of Denny & Broad
Dates & Times: Saturday - Monday, January 19th - 21st, 2008, 10 am - 6 pm each day
Admission: Included in the regular Science Center admission, $10 adults, $8.50 seniors (65+), $7 kids (ages 3-13), members free.
