“Joy” from Seattle Men’s Chorus

by Mary Jo on December 14th, 2006

For over 25 years, Seattle Men’s Chorus has been putting on the most popular Christmas show in Seattle.

This year’s show “Joy,” at Benaroya Hall, is another hit with audiences, with a compilation of favorite carols, gospel tunes, and a handful of surprises.

Formed in 1979, the Chorus has grown to become the largest community chorus in the United States, and the largest gay men’s chorus in the world.  The Chorus is comprised entirely of volunteers from the greater Seattle community.

Location:  Benaroya hall, 200 University Street.

Dates:  Performing through December 21st as follows.
Sunday, December 17th at 8 pm
Wednesday, December 20th at 8 pm
Thursday, December 21st at 2 pm and 8 pm

Tickets:  $15.50-65.00, depending on performance and seating requested.  Available online.

There are only a few performance dates left, so if you’ll be in Seattle, make plans NOW.  This is one of the hottest tickets in town!
