Junior Returns to Seattle & Safeco Field
The smack of a bat against a baseball is a wonderful sound, and having the Cincinnati Reds in town to play the Mariners this weekend evokes a bittersweet memory of hearing that sound time after time.
That time was when Ken Griffey Jr., or Junior as we called him, lived here and played baseball here, and it was a time when everybody was a fan.
You can catch the Reds/Mariners games this weekend at Safeco Field. Friday and Saturday at 7:05 pm, Sunday at 1:05 pm.

I saw Junior at both the Kingdome and Safeco Field. I’ve seen the kinds of hits that are shown in that video — they are things of beauty.
