Lisa Harris Gallery at the Pike Place Market

by Mary Jo on June 25th, 2007

Bone Stem There are lots of artists stalls and art galleries in the Pike Place Market area, and one of my favorites is the Lisa Harris Gallery, located in a loft in the Soames Dunn Building, upstairs from the original Starbuck’s.  It’s the location as much as the art that makes it so enjoyable.

The gallery was founded in 1984, and represents contemporary Northwest and West Coast artists, both emerging artists and those a little further along in their careers.  Mediums include paintings, drawings, prints, sculpture, and photography.

Through June 30th, you can see a great exhibit of sculpture by local artist Ann Morris.  It’s both simple and complex.  Allow half an hour for to view the work.

Location:  1922 Pike Place, on Pike Place in the northernmost block of the Market (between Stewart & Virginia).

Hours:  Monday - Saturday, 10:30 am - 5 pm, Sunday, 11 am - 4 pm.
