Lots of Cars, Not So Many Parking Spots
After writing my post about parking earlier this week, I came across some additional information about Seattle-ites and their cars.
There are 314,722 licensed passenger vehicles in Seattle, along 10,718 licensed motorcycles, and 1,510 license mopeds.
There are 100,000 non-residential parking spaces in the downtown business core and surrounding neighborhoods.
Lots of people competing for not very many parking spaces.
