Musicals for the 2007-08 5th Avenue Theater schedule
I’ve written about several of the theater offerings around the Seattle area, and looking through the flyer for the 5th Avenue Theater’s 2007-08 season, it looks like another great season of theater is ahead of us.
Take a look at this line up:
Lone Star Love (runs through September 30th). A riff on Shakespeare’s The Merry Wives of Windsor, Texas-style, this musical’s Broadway-bound plans have been delayed.
Into the Woods (October 19th - November 10th). With a score by Stephen Sondheim, this is a magical trip into the woods where one encounters all sorts of fairy tale characters.
Whistle Down the Wind (November 13th - December 2nd). The US premiere of an Andrew Lloyd Weber musical about a young Southern girl who hides a stranger from the rest of her town.
Jersey Boys (December 5th - January 12th). The Tony Award winning musical about Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.
Mame (February 9th - March 2nd). Eccentric socialite aunt inherits a young child, and takes him with her of life’s adventures. This one’s a classic!
Cabaret (March 25th - April 13th). Another classic, this one set in 1930’s Berlin during the rise of the Third Reich.
Six great musicals to keep you company over the winter and spring!
Location: 5th Avenue Theater, 1306 5th Avenue (Downtown).
Dates & Times: As noted above. Show times vary.
Tickets: Season tickets are still available, and some individual performances are now on sale. Check here for specific dates and ticket information.
