. . . GO!  At the 2007 Seattle Marathon!

The Marathon is sponsored by the University of Washington Medical Center, and starts front of the Experience Music Project (EMP), between Broad and Harrison on 5th Avenue.  26.2 miles later, it finishes in Memorial Stadium at the Seattle Center.

Of course, if you’re not up to running a full marathon, you can walk it, or opt for the half marathon run/walk option.

Last year more than 11,000 runners and walkers participated in the event, representing 47 states and 10 nations.

Date & Time:  Sunday, November 25th8:15 am for the Marathon; 7:30 am for the Half Marathon; 7:15 am for the Marathon Walk; and 7:45 for the Half Marathon Walk.

Fee:  $100 for full Marathon (run or walk) and $85 for half Marathon.  Register online, or at a variety of running related businesses in the Seattle area.

Check out the street map to see if any of your usual routes may be closed during the marathon.
