Spend an Evening with Madeleine Albright
She was in New York and Boston, and next week former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright will be in Seattle, discussing the recommendations she’s making to the winner of the 2008 presidential election.
In her book, Memo to the President Elect: How We Can Restore America’s Reputation and Leadership, Albright explains how she believes the next president must restore the country’s reputation, while avoiding some of the pitfalls of earlier administrations.
Location: Town Hall, 8th & Seneca (enter on 8th Avenue). The reading will be held in the Great Hall.
Date & Time: Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008, 7:30 pm.
Admission: $5, and available at the door only. The first 300 people to purchase a copy the book receive a voucher for a free ticket (redeemable at the door).
Parking: Available at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center Main Garage for $4, with a voucher from Town Hall (ask a staffer for it). Other pay lots are in the area.
Town Hall is a community culture center on the edge of downtown, near the convention center, that hosts international, national, and local programming and performances. The building is a renovated church that dates back to 1922, and features two-story columns, central dome, and art glass. It is fully accessible.
