Thanks to the efforts of some Seattle-area travel bloggers in forming Passports with Purpose, the world might be a little less hungry this next year.
Passports with Purpose was formed in recognition of the many benefit of traveling and travel blogging contrasted with the very real need in communities around the world.  An opportunity for those of us who love seeing the world to give back to it.  For it’s first fundraiser, PwP has chosen Heifer International as its recipient.

I haven’t added to my Seattle blogroll for awhile, but there are lots of good blogs and bloggers here in the Emerald City (or whatever it is we are calling ourselves these days).
Here are a few additions that I’d recommend you check out:

Seattle Bon Vivant is all about the food.  And cooking, and wine, and all sorts of other delicious things that go along with good eating!  I enjoy reading about all these yummy things, but would probably be a more loyal reader if they published full RSS feeds.

You meet the nicest people hanging out in Seattle!
And that’s exactly what happened to me today while I was hanging out with blogger friends (and soon-to-be friends) at the BigFoot Blogging Conference, held at the University of Washington’s Kane Hall.
Big props to speakers: Monica Guzman (Seattle PI, The Big Blog) and Chris Pirillo (Lockergnome/Gnomedex), Andru Edwards "Gear Live", Tracy Record "West Seattle Blog" and Karen Anderson "iCultur".
