]]> Ana Montes flamenco dancer I’ve always thought Flamenco was a beautiful dance form, with its strong, rhythmic musical undertones, and the graceful and passionate hand and footwork of the dance.

Ana Montes, one of the West Coast’s top female flamenco dancer, is now trying to share her love of this beautiful dance here in Seattle. 

First studying flamenco in Seville, and later in Madrid, she later danced professionally in Europe.  She has been performing and teaching in the Seattle area since 1991.

Ana now teaches at the studio Flamenco Danzarte, and also produces student shows and recitals. 

Location:  2306 4th Avenue, between Bell & Battery (map it)

An introduction to flamenco is offered Saturdays, 2:30 – 4 pm, and is the best option for beginners.  Classes are ongoing, and you can join at any time.  They can be purchased on an individual basis or as part of a series.  Take a look at the full schedule to see what catches your eye.
