The Pike Place Market gets lots of well-deserved attention, but there are other farmers markets around the area that shouldn’t be missed.
Tacoma, our neighbor to the south has the weekly Tacoma Farmers Market that features over 80 booths of local vendors.  Vendor participation is highly regulated, and the emphasis is on locally grown and made products, offered at comparable market prices.  You can check the weekly availability sheet to track when your favorite fruit will be ready to eat, as well as keep track of what’s available and when it’s available.

The Harvest Vine opened in 1998, originally as a gourmet take out and wine company.  Owners Joseba Jiménez, and his wife Carolin Messier de Jiménez originally started a catering business, and its success soon became a small little restaurant.
