]]> There’s still time to visit a local pumpkin field, and pick a pumpkin right where it grows, on vines covering the ground.  Go by yourself, or take the whole family, and let everyone select their own perfect pumpkin.

Most pumpkin patches offer a variety of other activities, including hay rides, hay mazes, hot cider and coffee, and some have a gift shop. 

Find a pumpkin patch in your area, start carving and have a scary jack-o-lantern on your doorstep for Halloween.
